that one poem i saw

I can’t imagine ever not seeing this poem, but the true importance of it re-introduces itself to me each time I read it. “I hope the universe puts you in front of me again. I want to see what it feels like to touch you”. Longing is so beautiful, but so hopelessly desperate at the same time. This poem sounds like yearning and feels like love. Even though perhaps what we feel initially fades into obscurity, love is a verb and a perpetuation of commitment. I think putting pen to paper and scratching ink to wood embroiders the love you might feel in that moment onto the fabric of time. Never to disappear, forever embedded.
